Boßeln

I had a blast of a weekend - and lots of train again.

Friday I´ve been to B. for her birthday party in Lüneburg. Three hours going by train, changing twice. The hardest problem was to get the right ticket at the machine without knowing the special terms for the region around Hamburg. But I managed, I guess. No one checked the ticket and I still dunno if it was the right or wrong one. Next time I´ll try again.
It was a nice birthday with sleepover and green beer-lollipops ;) The next morning was very, very early and I definately drank too much coffee in too short time. My hands were shaking some hours after. But in the afternoon we started our sportstour with Boßeln. A northern German sport - a mix of taking a walk in the landscape and bowling without pins. And a big social part: talking with friends and people you haven´t seen for long time and having something warm or/and cold to drink. Afterwards we were heading to a local pub and had typical kale with potatoes, sausages and meat.

These days I will work a lot in school on a project and my on going integration work as well as writing down the interview I did on thursday for another project for uni. Lot of work, lot to do, few motivation. Gonna see how much I will do these days and let you know.

Pictures of the weekend will follow hopefully for some impressions for everybody who doesn´t know Boßeln

"... tomorrow you´ll be gone, gone, gone..."

It´s time, you have to go! I am sick of you for now and that´s why you have to leave! I can´t stand you anymore. You my hair, my beloved curls!

Sounds kind of hard but it isn´t at all. I just think it is time for a change and so I decided to cut my hair. I had my longer, curly hair for a while again but now the winter (hopefully!) goes and spring comes and it is time for losing your winterfur and get fresh summerwool again ;) I got an appointment for tomorrow and together with my hair also the snow will leave I hope.
Most of the snow is already gone, unfortunately only most. So the rest also has to disappear. Though it´s much more ugly outside now, the spring will come much faster and lighten up everything again.

I am gonna see if I get some fresh and interesting thoughts to write about with short hair or if it stays the same ;)

See you! Cut!

Good night world! Welcome dreams!

Sit-in with a lot of beers. Powershoppen? Showerpoppen! Fun. More beers. Flips and beer. Birthday. Prost! Most Prahlzeit? Beers. Biking in the dark. Lightening up. Loft. Moving your ass. Dancing until morning. Flirting. Dancing. Two girls. Back on bikes. Baking eggs. Ham. Water. Hangover? No! Hopefully. Bed calls. Dreams are waiting.

Ready to party

I´ve been busy the last days with working in school, reading books for my exams and thesis, meeting for a work project from uni where we gonna interview youngsters with migration background about their life and cleaning our flat today, shopping food and cooking. A lot to do but with nice effects (more money in my wallet ;-), experience in working and doing something good) and I also do relax while cooking and even cleaning (at least a little when there is loud music and no hurry). So it was a great start for the weekend and it will be even better in only a short while. My rommies birthday is tomorrow and we will have some beers here first and then head downtown to move our bodies to the music ;-)

See you soon again!

Walking on water

Ok, it became late but finally I manage to write again. There is still too many snow and ice outside and the winter will last even longer. A hard winter we haven´t had for years!

Last weekend I was bored and spontaneously I took the train to meet with my brother in Hamburg. We were out for some coffee, fast look-through-shopping (because we are male it was only short and rushing?) and then we went to the outer Alster. The Alster is a river which was frozen the last time about 13 years ago. The ice was still thick enough to walk on and we crossed the river by slipping all the time. It was a great time and a long day. After freezing for hours we were out for some dinner at a restaurant and then I still had to take the train to go back to Oldenburg. I arrived home late and fell directly into my bed.

This weekend I´ve been home for getting information about my vaccinations I need for Ghana as well as calling some people for my fund-raising. I wasn´t that successful yet but I won´t give up and will find some people to support me. If you know someone who is interested in sponsoring me for my developement service in Cape Coast just let me know :)

The other day I´ve been busy with collecting old papers in Schneverdingen for supporting youth work in our region. This time it was kind of hard. Only few people but a lot of snow. The papers were covered with snow and it was almost like looking for hidden easter eggs as we do in april. But I enjoyed the collection and a great breakfast we got for strenghtening again ;)

Back in Oldenburg I am going to work again in the school integration and continue my preparations for my last exams and Bachelors thesis for uni. Reading, reading and reading. Most is interesting and I think I can use it definately for work later. Finally! The last years were sometimes very disappointing with the topics and contents we had... but now I can see an end of studying and am looking forward to the summer :D
