WorldTrip

There are most likely three parts for the now planned journey:

1) Southeast Asia (3,5 months): Landing in Bangkok traveling North to Chiang Mai in Thailand and crossing the boarder to Laos. From there going slow through the mountains and alongside the Mekong river turning into Vietnam at some point. After making the way up to Hanoi and Halong Bay I will travel South passing by sunny beaches and the ocean cloud pass to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) and the Mekong delta region. Finally I will enter Cambodia and see the ancient temples of Angkor Wat.
If there is time left I will head to the South of Thailand and learn scuba diving on one of the islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Finally passing through Malaysia I will set off from Singapore going back to Hamburg for a day or two.

2) Africa North to South (6 months): Starting in Malaga I will join a group of 15 people to cross Africa by truck from North to South on the Western route. We enter the African continent in Morocco and make our way through the Sahara Desert in Western Sahara and Mauretania to enter Mali. We pass by the Dogon country inside Mali and then head South to Burkina Faso and finally enter my second home Ghana. We drive alongside the beautiful beaches of Togo, get to know voodoo culture in Benin and reach Nigeria. From there is the plan to enter Cameroon and rest on its beaches before crossing Gaboon and making our way through the jungles of Congo and DR Congo. After the dense jungles our route takes us back to the beaches in Angola to the Etosha National Park and Sceleton Coast of Namibia. Finally we enter the last country on this trip: South Africa. The trip ends in Cape Town, the most Southern place in Africa.

3) Africa South to North (6-9 months): As the truck tour ends in Cape Town I will continue my trip on my own and see more of South Africa and meet some friends in Cape Town and Pretoria. Crossing Johannesburg on my way up North on the Eastern route I reach Mozambique and its stunning beaches. Next stop will be Zimbabwe, home to dictator Mugabe and the famous Victoria Falls sharing a boarder with Zambia. If I reach in time I plan to swim in the Devils Pool and do some kayaking. From the Victoria Falls I cross Zambia to enter Malawi and rest on the Lake Malawis shore. Hakuna Matata sounds from not too far and soon I enter Tanzania. Getting lost in Daressalam I find a possibility to escape the big city and reach famous Zanzibar before passing by Mount Kilimanjaro on my way to reach Kenya. Taking a glimpse of Nairobi I head North to enter Ethiopia and travel the country to see its incredible sights as the churches of Lalibela and the Danakil Depression. So Addis Abeba will be the last stop on my tour through Africa before heading somewhere else.
